Pro-Tops is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in QuickBooks and a proven track record in managing accounts payable processes efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy.
- Obtain necessary approvals for invoices before processing payments.
- Prepare and perform weekly check runs or electronic payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining vendor master data in QuickBooks.
- Provide support for audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries related to accounts payable.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with other accounting software is a plus.
