Restaurant Food Server

Our busy restaurant is looking for servers with a friendly smile and a cheerful customer service attitude to set the tone for our guests to enjoy their dining experience with us. You will serve our guests in the restaurant by ensuring that they are seated promptly, their orders are taken, prepared, and served timely, and that tables are cleaned and ready for the next guests. Responsibilities
• Participate in pre-shift and department meetings to gain a thorough grasp of all products, services, and facility activities
• Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant
• Collect correct payment from guests and ensure that the guest check and method of payment are accurate to safeguard both the client and the business from mistakes in transactions
• Establish a full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to respond to client inquiries and make recommendations
• Greet customers, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve orders promptly, and accommodate any special needs or requests

Qualifications
• Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED)
• Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
• Prior food service industry experience is highly desired
• Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills
