Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

The IT Infrastructure and Projects Specialist is responsible for managing and lead projects delivering high-quality IT infrastructure and project support to the organization. The IT Infrastructure and Projects Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of IT projects, as well as providing ongoing support and maintenance for the organization's IT infrastructure.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

80% office, 20% field.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Exemplify the Capstone Copper Values in all efforts and interactions while working in compliance with all MSHA safety guidelines and Pinto Valley Mine policies and procedures.
Ensure that you are certified to execute the tasks / jobs assigned.
Manage and lead projects delivering high-quality IT infrastructure and project support to the organization.
Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of IT projects, including hardware and software installations, network upgrades, and system migrations.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the organization's IT infrastructure, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, process flows, and configuration guides.
Collaborate with other IT staff, vendors, and business partners to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects and support services.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the effective alignment of IT projects and support with business goals.
Coordinate, maintain, support, and keep aligned to Capstone’s standards IT business continuity solutions.
Coordinate, maintain, support, and keep aligned to Capstone’s standards the process control, automation, communication, and mine technology solutions in place.
Assist IT Analyst I as needed.
Responsible for but not limited to all tasks/duties assigned or required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

(Required, Preferred)

Required:

Associate’s degree in computer-related discipline or related experience

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer-related discipline or associated work experience
CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications
ITIL Foundation
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Microsoft certifications

YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

(Required, Preferred)

Required:

5 years in providing IT support
2 years in managing IT projects

Preferred:

5 years in IT Infrastructure and Projects

Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
Effective interpersonal communications skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to create training documentation and deliver end user training
Proficient in creation and modification of user and group accounts in Microsoft Active Directory.
Proficient computer skills, including Office 365, Windows 10, Windows Server,
Knowledge of VMWare, NetApp.
Able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
