Position Summary: The IT Intern provides support to the IT Department and the Director of Information Technology and performs entry level testing, documenting, assists in validation projects, deploying and troubleshooting for simple IT systems at Alturas Analytics. The IT Intern also takes entry level end user support tickets and escalates when needed. The IT Intern is a temporary job typically over the summer and intended for students enrolled in college programs.


Duties may include:

  • Assists with testing and documentation of software applications
  • Assists with software validation projects
  • Assists with receiving and stock keeping of IT equipment
  • Assists with deployment and setup of network printers
  • Assists with network cabling and patching
  • Assists with end user support ticket and escalate as needed

Additional Duties and Tasks:

  • May assist with install and deployment non-critical software applications
  • May assist with establishing and documenting workstation images
  • May assist with deploying workstations
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned
Requirements:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • College-level coursework in Computer Science, Management Information System or related fields

Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Skills in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to follow instructions and written procedures

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and work at counter heights of 36-40 inches for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to alternate sitting and standing for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to sit in front of a computer monitor for up to 8 hours per day
