Sweeper

As a valued member of our team, you will drive a sweeper truck equipped to perform the following duties. The role requires the driver to operate the truck in a safe and efficient manner, following and adhering to all applicable Federal & State laws.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, with overtime hours available at times.

Hourly pay: $23.00-$25.00 based on experience.

Essential Functions:

Drive trucks to various company sites as scheduled, safely and timely.

Sweep the plants, utilizing a specific path.

Pre and Post trip vehicle inspection.

Clean out the hopper after each plant.

Maintain the sweeper clean.

Maintain a high level of customer service through courteous and effective communication with dispatchers, plant management, other drivers, contractors, and customers.

Keep proper records and documents of daily activities.

Perform all duties assigned by management in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned.

Non-Essential Duties:

Attend safety and other training meetings as required.

Core Competencies:

Effective communication skills in the English language in both written and verbal form.

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Strong organizational skills.

Minimum Education and Experience

Possession of a valid unrestricted California Driver’s License (Class A with doubles/triples endorsements.)

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

2-4 years of prior commercial driving experience.
