Job Description

A FIRST CLASS MANUAL MACHINIST MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS PREFERABLY

Sets up and operates production type equipment to machine components to shop order requirements.
Operates assigned machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
Performs scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
Performs housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Responsible for notifying supervisory personnel if a nonconforming condition exist.
Performs other duties as directed by management personnel.
