Dental Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
• Assist with dental lab procedures, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
• Ensure a clean and organized treatment environment, restocking supplies and maintaining equipment as necessary.

Experience:

• 1 year of experience is preferred, but we are open to all new graduates.
• X-ray Certified.
• Expanded functions assistant is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of Dentrix is a plus.
