Senior AML/CFT Analyst

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Senior AML/CFT Analyst to join our team! This position will perform advanced monitoring and investigate functions focusing on money laundering, counter terrorist financing, and compliance with the AML Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and the USPATRIOT Act. Assist in executing and maintain the company’s AML/CFT Program.

As part of this role you will:

• Execute customer monitoring, review, and analysis.
• Execute higher risk customer enhanced due diligence and review.
• Execute Rules Based Risk Rating (RBRR) prompted customer/account reviews.
• Perform complicated analysis and investigations.
• Investigate, prepare, and file Suspicious Activity Reports.
• Review and resolve analysis of all types of transaction monitoring system alerts.
• Support the training and development of analysts.
• Assist or provide AML/CFT training as needed.
• Participate on projects as the AML subject matter expert to identify AML/CFT compliance impacts.
• Assist on other monitoring procedures or investigations as needed.

To be successful in this role, we require the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in retail, operations, or compliance in a financial institution.

The following would be a plus:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management or a related field.
• Previous regulatory experience working with AML/CFT/OFAC.
