Commercial HVAC Sheetmetal Installer
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm
Pay rate: $20-$40 /an hour DOE
Duration: Direct Hire
An HVAC maintenance and mechanical company in the DFW is looking for the best and brightest in the market to join their team. The Sheetmetal Mechanic will fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as ductwork, plenums, air devices, louvers and air moving equipment.
As A Member of This team:
- Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, bending rolls, and punch and drill presses to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal.
- Use spot welders, hand-held power tools, air hammers and hand tools to assemble ductwork and other sheet metal assemblies.
- Install ductwork and sheet metal assemblies on the work site according to blueprints and specifications using hand tools and portable power tools.
- Install air-moving equipment, such as air handlers, heat pumps, exhaust fans, and unit heaters.
- Inspect and test installations for conformance with the project requirements.
You Will Need:
- Prior experience with sheet metal work in the mechanical/HVAC industry
- Valid Drivers License is required
- Understand basic math
- Work skillfully with tools, metals, and machines;
- Visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches, or blueprints;
- Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy;
- Perform a variety of duties which may change often; and rate information using measurable standards.
