SUMMARY: Provides financial products and services to establish, retain and deepen relationships with credit union members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional member service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists and educates members in the opening of new deposit accounts, share certificate investments, and other credit union services
- Takes loan applications
- Prepares loan documentation, schedule closing, and close consumer loans
- Complete all membership/deposit account opening procedures
- Meets with and educates members about consumer loan products
- Actively cross-promotes credit union products and services
- Works applicable sales leads from vendors and internal sources
- Processes and prints Instant Issue debit cards at member’s request
- Acts as credit union representative for member inquiries and concerns
- Maintains knowledge of credit union products, services, policies and procedures
- Adheres to all credit union policies and procedures
- Other duties as may be assigned
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Researches and resolves problems on member accounts
- Achieves minimum standards of sales goals
- Represents credit union in various marketing and sponsor related activities
- Monitors and reports sales figures to the VP of Service and Sales
- Supports the marketing of the credit union and its products and services
- Assists Teller Supervisor in opening and closing of Service Center
- Assists Teller Supervisor in Service Center balancing activities, deposit taking, cash retrieval, etc.
- Assists with training new MSR
- Works Saturday in Gurnee Service Center on rotating basis
- Fulfills Receptionist duties as needed on Saturday in Gurnee Service Center
- Travels to other Service Centers to assist with coverage
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) Certification
- Education Preferred: Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- Experience Required: One (1) year of customer service or retail sales experience
- Experience Preferred: Two (2) years of customer service or retail sales experience in a financial institution

- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with internal and/or external members
- Ability to use computers and job-specific technology/software efficiently

- Performs responsibilities with composure, quality and accuracy under stress of deadlines/requirements
