Electrical Assembler

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

• Employee will be involved in assembly of electrical control panels from component parts.
• Position requires standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and working with hand and power tools, including wire strippers, pliers, cordless drills, etc. Additional tasks will include use of rulers, tape measures, pipe bending and threading equipment and electrical testing equipment.
• Employees will be expected to follow established safety and quality procedures, and to be responsive to requests from Mod Shop leaders and branch management regarding work habits and processes.
• All candidates should possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work well with others and independently. Attention to detail and the ability to precisely follow directions is crucial to the position.
• Experience in the electrical industry is not required, however, preferred candidates will possess knowledge of electrical products and wiring as well as ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematic drawings. Ability to perform basic computer tasks (MS Outlook, MS Excel-basic) are also required.

Qualifications:

• Able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• General knowledge of electrical products.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks.
• Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
