Our client is a 3rd generation owned company with more than 50 years of automotive experience. They are an established company with multiple locations across Southwest Texas and specialize in commercial truck, car, and SUV repairs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanic who will be responsible for assessing vehicles and machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues.

Responsibilities of the Mechanic

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and Work Orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance and work performed.
• Help clients determine their automotive requirements and communicate vehicular defects or problems.
• Provide routine inspections of vehicles and inform clients of any issues.
• Prepare quotes and work estimates as requested.
• Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times.
• Adhere to company work safety policies.
• Must be able to work Saturdays from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Qualifications/Experience Required

• Candidates will need to have experience with all front-end vehicle repairs including balancing, alignment, steering, gearbox, ball joints, bushings, tie rods, control arms, shocks, and struts.
• Two plus years of experience in mechanical or electrical repair work.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to liaise professionally with team members and system users.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks with moderate supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Lift a minimum of 50lbs., repeatedly, without assistance, and up to 100lbs with assistance.

• Push/pull heavy objects with the proper equipment.

• Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day.
