What is the Job all About?

Our Site Reliability / Development Engineer will be responsible for maintaining our Lab Services (MIDI Labs) MIDAS platform, in terms of up-time, quality, feature development and workflow efficiency. Ideally, you will live within 1 hour commute of our Delaware office and collaborate in person with the Lab Services technical team (your customers) in the office at least 1 day / week. You will also be on-call during business hours (8x5) to triage issues and manage infrastructure on-site if required.

The Lab Services MIDAS platform is an integrated wetlab and digital workflow comprised of DNA Sequencing instruments, custom C# data management and data analysis tools, a Microsoft SQL database, customer web portal and order management tools.

You will report directly to the SVP, Product Development, and collaborate directly with our principal developer on the implementation of our future platform as a cloud-based service, leveraging high amounts of workflow automation tools and data lake services. There is a strong emphasis on innovation and development with this role.

Responsibilities:

· DBA for the Microsoft SQL Server

· DevOps and CICD pipeline for MIDAS platform

· C# development using Visual Studio

· Some web app maintenance and development

· Integrating business systems into workflow

· 8x5 pager on-call duty

Requirements:

Strong proficiency:

o MS SQL Server

o C#, .NET WinForms, Visual Studio

o Github

Capable:

o AWS

o Troubleshooting windows network and domain accounts

o Troubleshooting network traffic, firewalls, etc.

o Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)

Basic skills:

o PHP

o Linux

This role is a hybrid position, you will be working from the Newark, DE office when onsite.
