Senior Chemist

IDEAL BACKGROUND:

Strong analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and communications skills.

Experience with base metals (preferably copper) and formulation of high purity base metal products.

Experience with scaling up of products from basic literature research to pilot batches and eventually to commercial manufacturing.

Self-starter and the ability to work in a fast-paced, small company environment and manage multiple, changing priorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work with operations, providing effective analytical testing to support operations and business development efforts.

Working with operations & engineering to develop, modify and optimize current processes.

Perform literature searches for new products or chemical processes.

Source raw materials for existing and new products.

Publish internal status reports of active research & process development projects.

Develop cost estimates for all active research projects, including raw materials, labor and manufacturing costs.

Adherence to regulatory requirements, research budgets and production schedules.

Participate in professional conferences and trade shows to further the knowledge base and/or to develop new ideas for ShoreMet consideration.
