We are assisting our client, a growing physical medicine and rehabilitation practice that provides cutting-edge diagnosis and treatment for brain injuries, and regenerative and restorative treatments in hiring an experienced Certified Athletic Trainer. Our team of practitioners works closely with each patient to create and implement a detailed, humanistic treatment plan that considers all aspects of a patient’s condition, to reach one goal- improving our patient’s quality of life by helping them achieve functional independence.

Located in Sacramento, this esteemed physical medicine and rehabilitation practice is strategically building on its long-standing reputation for excellence by seeking an experienced Athletic Trainer with an entrepreneurial mindset who exhibits high professionalism with patients, coworkers, lawyers, vendors, management, and peers. The Certified Athletic Trainer will do initial patient interviews related to Expert work and assist with Expert-related report writing.

- $25-$29 hourly ($52,000 -$60,320 annually) based on experience

Exempt, Full Time, 8 am- 5 pm
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Chart and appointment preparation
- Initial patient exam
- Document in patient chart
- Care coordination with treating Providers
- Testing: EEG, Right Eye, VOMS, etc.
- Complete all ordered referrals
- Schedule new patient and follow-up appointments
- Patient triage
- Maintain Sacramento clinic and Rincon equipment
Expert Witness Support
- Assist in scheduling intake exams
- Assist scheduling the Expert Witness
- Perform initial record reviews
- Conduct initial patient interviews
- Document past medical history and patient timeline
- Support Expert Witness initial exams
- Assist with the development of reports
Support
- Create Templates for Expert and Treater Reports
- Create workflows for Expert/Treater reporting processes
- Data collection, organization, and interpretation
- Direct communication with clinical partners
- Travel to Sacramento clinic and/or satellite locations
- Other duties as assigned
Reports
- Treater Future Care Reports - Draft for supervising physician to review and complete
- Restorative Life Care Plans - Draft for lead expert physician to review and complete
- Rule 26 Reports - Draft for the lead expert physician to review and complete
Other
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Travel Up to 20-30 %
Required Qualifications
- Certified Athletic Trainer experience in a clinical environment
- Certified Athletic Trainer Certification – active/current
- CPR Certified
- Experience in evidence-based clinician in evaluation, first aid, and treatment
- Detail-oriented with the ability to document accurately
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with patients and other external parties in a courteous and professional manner
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to travel on occasion
