Job Description:

We're seeking a Hydraulic Test Technician to join our team in Fraser, Michigan.

Our Hydraulic Technician will have a strong mechanical aptitude for building or repairing pumps and motors and working knowledge of test tools or equipment. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude, strong work ethic, self-starter, and strong initiative in getting work completed to achieve department/individual goals. Our pumps and motors are either assembled from original components or remanufactured from cores.


Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reviews Bill of Materials (BOM) to determine if all components are available to assemble unit.
  • Builds/assembles base unit according to manufacture specifications.
  • Attaching pumps/motors to test machines and verify they are operating properly.
  • Transfer meter and gage readings to test data sheets.
  • Compare units to model codes to verify they are the correct configurations using reference material available.
  • Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines.
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment.
  • Qualified candidates will need to have good communications skills as well as a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Comply with all Fluidyne Fluid Power employee conduct and policies contained in the Employee Handbook.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • At least 1 year experience with repair or building of hydraulic components or systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hydraulic issues.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking skills for problem solving.
  • Attention to detail and ability to focus on task assignments to meet production goals.
  • English - Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment and successfully communicate and interact with other team members, customers, and management.

Job Type: Full-time / In Person

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • 8 hour shift
