What to Expect

We are looking for an innovative, detailed and passionate individual to join our world-renowned culture as a Logistics Specialist. This role will ensure the highest levels of satisfaction and compliance during the entire logistic arrangement lifecycle.

Your Impact

You will contribute to the overall success of the organization by including facilitating the logistics process, including on time cargo delivery with reasonable freight rates, professional communication with all departments and effective problem resolution with outside vendors. In addition, this position is expected to identify process weaknesses and assist with the integration of new technologies and methodologies in support of our continued sales growth.

Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Approving container loading plans
  • Approving freight invoices
  • Coordinate with Inventory Planners, ocean carriers, freight brokers and various internal teams to arrange all shipping and delivery of inventory
  • Coordinate with Customer Service team to complete the invoice process
  • Monitor entire process of cargo movement including intermodal transportation
  • Track and monitor system data with correct information regarding ETD, ETA, Duty Rate, Landed Cost and HTS codes
  • Work with our warehouses and operation team to ensure timely arrival of inventory
  • Maintain weekly reports based on the delivery schedule
  • Create improved processes and solutions with new systems and technology
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • You have the ability and judgment to seek clarification or assistance when needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 Years of experience in international operations/Import & Export, logistics/transportation, or similar field
  • Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Business with a focus on Operations, Import/Export or Logistics/Transportation
  • MUST have international ocean freight shipping experience
  • Understanding the basics of Tariff, Duty, HTS code in customs process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management oriented with a focus on collaboration
  • Independent self-starter who can multitask and deliver results in a variety of areas or projects
  • High sense of urgency and execution
  • Comfortable working with excel spreadsheets with advanced knowledge of v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • Previous experience with negotiating the best market rate and service to lower the company shipping cost
