We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in the Birmingham metro area (office in Pelham). Position Summary:
In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Trade Relations (Purchasing) and the Production departments.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with setting up new trades including pricing and bid information.
- Manage the administrative aspects of Variance Purchase Order’s (VPO’s) and Purchase Orders (PO’s)
- Maintain productive relationships with Construction staff and Trade Partners.
- Maintain the work schedule and process schedule delays (Slot Schedule)
- Generate Plan Change Requests and manage vendor reassignments
- Enter monthly and quarterly pricing in bid files
- Run insurance reports and manage Certificate of Insurance files
- Process subcontractor invoices.
- Place orders for utilities
- Review estimates with new communities
- Assemble house files and homeowner packets
- Manage samples from model home selections
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education:
- High School diploma
Experience:
- 2+ years office administrative experience.
- Experience in homebuilding industry preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn SMART (Proprietary software package)

- Initiative
