Job Description
Job Title: Middle School Counselor
Position Overview:
Bridgeline Staffing is seeking an experienced Middle School Counselor to join our team at a Newton Special Education school, focusing on supporting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of middle school students. This position will be a contract position and will go on until the end of the school year with an opportunity to be hired full-time at the end
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling for students' personal, social, and academic needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop intervention strategies.
- Conduct assessments, facilitate workshops, and serve as a resource for mental health support.
- Maintain accurate student records and stay updated on counseling best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Counseling or related field.
- State licensure or certification as a School Counselor.
- Previous experience in middle school counseling.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
