St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Laconia, NH, is a 51-bed skilled nursing facility offering short and long-term care in a warm, supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. We are currently seeking a full-time cook. Every other weekend is required. The shifts are either 4:30 am to 1:00 pm or from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Cook Job Responsibilities;

• Review menus prior to preparation of food

• Process diet changes and new diets as received from the nursing supervisor, when necessary

• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance

• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures

• Assist in establishing food service production line, etc., to ensure that meals are prepared on time

• Ensure that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures

• High School Diploma or GED

• ServSafe Certification (strongly preferred)

• Must possess at least one year’s experience in a health related or food service facility, preferably in a long term care setting

• Must have knowledge of sanitary procedures

• Must possess ability to deal tactfully with people; to work with minimum of supervision; and to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
