Job Description

Electromechanical Equipment Assembler

Seeking an Electromechanical Equipment Assembler to assist with building electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies. You will work with electrical and electronic components such as modules, circuit boards, wiring harnesses, etc. This role involves following repetitive production standards so we will consider any applicant with manual dexterity and electro-mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Electrical assembly of complex units where a high degree of problem-solving and extreme care, skilled workmanship, and accuracy are required.
  • Route wires, assemblies, and install electrical and electronic components in cabinets, electronics enclosures and on machined plates to complete functionality of integrated components according to specifications.
  • Crimp terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping devices.
  • Conduct formal and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harnesses, and plugs, using ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments.
  • Tag or mark identifying information on parts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Complete other tasks as necessary.
  • Assist in resolving production failures or product issues.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Attend weekly meetings.

Required skills and Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with electrical components and/or assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret BOMs, assembly drawings, schematics, manufacture order travelers, work instructions, and Engineering Change notices to include engineering modifications and designs.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Proficiency with all basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, wire cutters, etc.
  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Regularly lift 10-50 pounds.
  • Possess manual dexterity to put electrical or mechanical parts together quickly and accurately.
  • Possess both Mechanical and Electrical aptitude including the ability to follow direction.
  • Quality workmanship and displayed ability to meet production standards where trained.
  • Some travel required.
