S4 Inc. is seeking a skilled EMC Engineer to join the forefront of national defense technology at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Electromagnetic (EM) Effects Division. We're seeking talented individuals to support critical projects ensuring the operational capability of military forces and platforms. As part of our team, you'll provide technical and engineering support, risk analysis, and integrated logistics for a range of initiatives, from legacy systems to emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research, development, test, engineering, and integration activities related to Navy RF sensors and systems.
  • Utilize theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as EMI/EMC testing, problem investigation, spectrum analysis, and EMI control and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects) challenges.
  • Perform analysis and assessment of EMI/EMC issues and propose solutions.
  • Develop and implement MATLAB programs for data analysis and simulation.
  • Utilize RF equipment such as spectrum analyzers, real-time spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers proficiently.
  • Contribute to the design, testing, and evaluation of topside systems with a focus on EMI/EMC considerations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations in all engineering activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with an RF focus or Physics with an emphasis in EMI, Electric Field Propagation, and/or EMC.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in theoretical and practical aspects of research, development, test, engineering, or integration of Navy RF sensors and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following topside areas: E3, EMI/EMC testing, EMI problem investigation, Spectrum, EMI/EMC analysis and assessment, EMI Control and Mitigation, MATLAB programming.
  • Proficiency in the use of RF equipment such as spectrum analyzers, real-time spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Secret Clearance required
