Job Title: Home Medical Equipment Shipping/Receiving

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Home Medical Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shipping and receiving, as well as wheelchair builds and repairs. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Shipping and Receiving:

    • Receive incoming shipments of medical equipment and supplies.
    • Inspect deliveries for accuracy and completeness.
    • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
    • Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery.
  2. Wheelchair Builds and Repairs:

    • Assemble wheelchairs and mobility equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
    • Perform repairs and maintenance on wheelchairs and other medical equipment.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment.
    • Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and safety regulations.
  3. Customer Service:

    • Assist customers with inquiries regarding products and services.
    • Provide guidance and support to customers on equipment usage and maintenance.
    • Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
    • Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  5. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

    • Document all equipment builds, repairs, and transactions accurately.
    • Maintain organized records of customer interactions and service history.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a medical equipment or healthcare setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Experience with wheelchair builds and repairs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
