Marketing Representative -New York/ Upstate

J&J is seeking a self-motivated individual to represent J&J in upstate New York to help achieve overall sales goals of the Region. Upstate counties are to include all New York counties EXCLUDING the Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Queens, Richmond, and Suffolk County. Candidates will be tasked with creating and maintaining business relationships with independent insurance agents in the New York Region and identifying opportunities to capture market share while spearheading the growth of business.
Job Responsibilities:
• Agency Management for the Upstate New York sales territory – includes agency appointments and cancellation recommendations
• Market company products and services to independent agents in the assigned sales territory
o Insurance products – Personal Lines and Commercial Lines
o Premium Financing products (Johnson & Johnson Preferred Financing – JJPF)
• Further develop existing agency relationships
• Call on prospects to build new & profitable business relationships (specifically in less saturated markets)
• 16 agency visits per week, or as assigned by manager
• Provide exceptional customer service assistance to our agents
• Achieve objectives for production and profitability by line of business, including objectives related to submissions, written premium, retention, and service.
• Develop and communicate products for expansion to the Agencies
• Enhance presence of J&J within the insurance association community
• Attendance at state and local industry conferences
• Weekly Reporting of sales calls and activities planned and completed
• Attend Company, Sales, and Training meetings as assigned by manager
• Any other duties as assigned
Education and Work Experience:
• An RMI degree is preferred or any combination of education and experience to be successful in the position
• Active Insurance license preferred but not required
