The Role    
Our Cloud Server Vendor Manager oversees, manages & designs processes, projects and programs that underpin a variety of activities in the Ampere Platform and Product Management groups. The development and management of partners is crucial to delivering a complete and positive experience to Ampere’s external relationships. The role will include adding vendors and their system components to the approved vendor list (AVL), coordination of multi-discipline teams developing technologies and implementing technologies in our next generation platforms while keeping track of external commitments and deliverables to our partners. As a Partner Relations Program Manager, you will work directly with partners to schedule business review meetings and annual alignment meetings while working with internal teams.   
   
What you'll do   
  • Work with partners to track action items for follow-up both internally and with vendors
  • Schedule regular meetings with partners and executive meetings with vendors
  • Collect system hardware demand and work through the purchase process
  • Create and maintain the approved vendor list (AVL) for each new generation
  • Coordinate with internal engineering on validation and status of the AVL
  • Develop approved vendor list for both production materials and R&D needs
  • Provide tactical and logistics leadership for the multi-discipline teams building
  • Make sure NDA's are in place with partners
  • Develop and implement new processes to streamline and enable teams to work more efficiently
  • Run regular meetings to align and follow up with internal stake holders and partners

What you'll bring    

  • Minimum 6 years of experience including 4 years of previous project/program management experience in a high-tech company
  • Technical background and understanding of the components used in datacenter servers 
  • Hands-on experience developing new processes from concept to completion
  • Patience, ability to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Sense of urgency, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strategic and analytical mind 
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency

Preferred Qualifications    

  • Experience managing and directing externally facing relationships with partners and vendors 
  • Experience with program management and collaboration tools such as the Atlassian tool suite, PLM and advanced planning tools
  • Experience in an engineering development environment or working with 3rd party vendors/partners or experience working in an OEM/ODM environment
  • Ability to speak Korean is a plus

Education    

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Computer Science or similar discipline preferred

Benefits & Pay   
Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, stock, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $225,600, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $146,300 and $243,800. We also offer an annual bonus program tied to internal company goals and annual meritocratic stock awards that enable our employees to participate in the success of the company.
