Construction Estimator (Cabinets & Countertops)

S&C Services Company, an established cabinet and countertop supplier to the multifamily and hospitality industry, has an immediate need for a Cabinets and Countertops Estimator in our Woodstock, GA office.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the initial supervision of the Estimating Manager, the right candidate will perform the tasks necessary to provide General Contractors with cabinets and countertops’ Bid Proposals. After the initial 90-day training period has passed, this person should be able to take on the responsibilities of the Estimating Manager, maintain the Bids Database and submit finalized Bid Proposals to the Sales Department. This role requires attention to detail, analytical and mathematical skills, effective communication and collaboration, and the ability to sit in front of a computer for most of the working day.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain project database up to date.

· Review documents for bidding process.

· Download plans, spec sheets, and other documents from builder websites.

· Contact GCs to obtain missing information or clarification.

· Prepare Take-Offs for Bid Proposals.

· Prepare Cost & Sale spreadsheets for materials, installation and freight.

· Review and revise Bids as needed and requested by General Contractors.

· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or equivalent and post-secondary education preferred.

· Must have Cabinets and countertops estimating experience or other relevant construction estimating experience that can carry over to these divisions.

· Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel and Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.

· Experience with drafting software, such as AutoCAD, is a plus.

· Must be detail oriented, organized, positive, and self-motivated.

· Must be legal to work in the US, pass drug tests, and pass background check.

OTHER INFORMATION:

· Starting Pay per hour depending on experience

· Office Hours Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break, and morning and afternoon paid 10-minute breaks.

· Full Time (40 hours a week)
