Infant & Toddler Teacher

The Early Childhood School at the Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC) is looking for energetic, passionate, creative, curious educators to join our early childhood educational team. If you have a strong desire to love and nurture children, promote social and emotional growth, and cognitive and physical development, this could be the perfect place for you.

Responsibilities:

• Follow a flexible daily schedule, specific to each classroom
• Create a warm, welcoming, safe classroom environment for your children and families
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom where children can learn and grow
• Balance teacher daily responsibilities, such as preparing snack and lunch, leading morning meeting, cleaning tables and sweeping, setting up for rest time, etc.
• Setup aesthetically pleasing provocations and offer a variety of experiences based on the children's emerging interests and wonderings
• Collaborate with your co-teacher/s and other staff members regularly through meetings, planning times, etc.
• Support children's emotional and social growth
• Communicate with parents and guardians on a daily basis
• Share about classroom experiences through email and Procare app
• Track development of each child and conduct parent-teacher conferences once a year
• Participate in professional development opportunities
