Electrical/ Mechanical Maintenance Technician

This company specializes in Industrial Grade Pretreatments, Powder, and Liquid Painting Services for small, medium and large sized components. Multiple automated, conveyor driven, power free, and paint curing systems were professionally engineered and designed to provide flexibility and efficiency for both high capacity and smaller batch product applications. Now they are looking for a Electrical Maintenance Technician to expand their team.

Summary:
This position may encompass a variety of tasks and duties associated with production support, equipment and facilities maintenance. Maintenance workers are very active and perform routine and emergency (unscheduled) preventive maintenance, service and repairs for designated building, facilities, vehicles and equipment, ensuring technical operations are in proper running order. As the Electrical Maintenance Technician, you would also be responsible for managing all other techs across 1st and 2nd shift. Also, would be responsible for creating, supporting and maintaining an electronic maintenance program and being able to assign duties from the system.

Location: York, SC
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Work Schedule: 1st shift; Monday-Friday 6:30am-5:00pm
Pay: $28.00-$35.00/hour, depending on level of experience

Provides benefits such as 401k, Holiday Pay and Medical.

Job Requirements for a Electrical Maintenance Technician :

  • Must be willing and able to perform a variety of active duties requiring a general or skilled background in various maintenance tasks and repairs (mechanical, electrical, mig/stick welding, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, simple machining, troubleshooting, etc.). Note: Experience working with power supplies 460/3/60, 208/3/60, 110/1/60 control circuits, 24VDC or PLC experience would be a plus.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, replace or repairs parts, test and adjust.  Will detect faulty operations, equipment, and defective material and report those and any unusual situation to supervisor.     
  • Will use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.  Will be required to be forklift certified and operate a forklift (testing required).
  • Must be physically fit as throughout the course of a day may be required to lift or move heavy objects.
  • Must possess manual dexterity and will be required to use fingers, hands, arms, legs, feet and/or entire body throughout the course of the day, and must be able to stand, sit, bend, stoop, climb, move, or squat for extended periods of time.
  • Must possess the ability to read and write English, understand, and follow written work instructions, safety labels and signs, blueprints, equipment manuals or schematics to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand verbal instructions, take direction, and work under general supervision.
  • Must be willing and able to identify, plan, and follow plan of required maintenance and preventive maintenance activities and be able to perform good quality work within the required timelines.
  • Must be able to comply with all Company, Employee, and Safety policies and procedures and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

 

Candidates MUST be open to overtime!
