FOLDER OPERATOR

Summary:

Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America. Our Deer Lake Branch Located in Orwigsburg, PA has an opening on our production team for Mill Operator.

These are permanent full-time positions with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay!

This is a position for 2nd shift folder operator. The shift is as follows 2:00pm - midnight, Monday through Thursday night, or 4 10-hour shifts. A Folder Operator is one of the key members of our production team. Daily responsibilities include safely operating a Folder and producing quality parts. You may be asked to do other jobs when needed. This position requires a 2-week training period on 1st shift. The finished product you are producing is quality metal trim.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Operating a Folder.
• Checking and visually inspecting produced trim against specifications to ensure a defect free product has been produced.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and assisting in other departments as needed
• Long periods of standing.
• Lifting finished product to staging racks.

The most qualified candidates will have:

• Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to work independently and with others
• High school diploma or GED

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift to 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Must be able to stand or walk approximately 9 ½ hours minimum per work shift.
• Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
• Noise level is moderate to loud
