MicroStation CAD Designer

We are committed to enhancing the infrastructure and commuting experience in Southern California, particularly focusing on the Metrolink commuter rail system. We're looking for a CAD Design Specialist who is passionate about making a significant impact in public transportation projects.

As a Rail System Design Specialist, you will be an integral part of our design team, focusing on the Southern California Metrolink commuter rail system project. Your proficiency in Microstation, coupled with knowledge in ProjectWise, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam, will be essential in delivering high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed design drawings and specifications using Microstation.
• Collaborate on multidisciplinary projects using ProjectWise for project collaboration and document management.
• Utilize AutoCAD for various design tasks and integrate designs across multiple platforms.
• The ability to share project XRef CAD files with other team members via shared internet platform for the team to advance the whole project design package
• The ability to take redline markup drawings or sketches and produce CAD drawing revisions in both 2D (plan view sheets) and 3D (utility piping profile sections)
• The ability to place standard Microstation cells, work with coordinate references and survey contour files to develop three demensional views
• Apply Bluebeam for document review, markup, and collaboration.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure design accuracy and compliance with guidelines and standards.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving and project advancement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on rail system or transportation projects.
• Proficiency in Microstation is a must.
• Experience with ProjectWise, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to work on multi-faceted projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
