We are Seeking Masters Level Mental Health Counselors

Job Title: Master Level Mental Health Counselor / Registered Intern / Licensed Counselor
Job Description: The person will provide in-home mental health and substance abuse counseling services to youth and families referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice. The person must have experience completing bio-psychosocial assessments, developing and executing treatment plans, managing/optimizing treatment conditions/environment, and completing other necessary documentation.
Qualifications: The person must have a Masters degree, Registered Intern, or License to practice in Florida. The person must have or can obtain a Medicaid provider number and NPI. The person must have experience working with youth and families with mental health and substance abuse diagnoses.
• Must have a master’s and a Masters degree or a Registered Intern
• Must have 1-3 years of experience completing biopsychosocial assessments
• Must have 1-3 years of experience diagnosing and treating mental health problems using cognitive behavior and other applicable treatment modalities
• Must have years of experience providing substance abuse counseling and knowledge/experience of 12-step and other recovery-based principles and methods
• Must have years of experience developing and implementing treatment plans
• Must be proficient with clinical documentation and record-keeping
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office Word
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Must be willing/able to travel at least 25 miles to do initial intake and assessment
• Must be able to pass level 2 background screenings through local law enforcement, the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement, and the FBI
Pay Scale:
• $25 to $35 per hour - Depending on experience and proven ability
Type of Position: Part-time - 1099 Contractor, i.e., up to 10-15 client caseload.
