Job Summary: The General Construction Worker will be responsible for assisting in various construction projects, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and according to safety regulations. This position involves hands-on work, collaboration with team members, and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform Construction Tasks: Carry out general construction tasks, including but not limited to digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating construction equipment.

2. Assist in Project Setup: Set up and prepare construction sites by securing and organizing materials, tools, and equipment.

3. Follow Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others on the construction site.

4. Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other construction team members, including contractors, supervisors, and project managers, to achieve project goals.

5. Read and Interpret Blueprints: Interpret and understand construction blueprints and schematics to execute tasks accurately.

6. Operate Construction Equipment: Safely operate and maintain construction equipment such as forklifts, jackhammers, and power tools.

7. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the construction site clean and organized, disposing of waste materials properly.

8. Report Issues: Communicate any issues, concerns, or deviations from project plans to the supervisor or project manager.

9. Ensure Quality Workmanship: Strive for high-quality workmanship in all construction tasks to meet or exceed project standards.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in general construction or related field is preferred.
3. Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
5. Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
7. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
8. Basic understanding of construction codes and regulations.

Working Conditions:

• The position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• May involve lifting heavy objects and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
