Elevation Ability Services is a Facility School for students with severe behavior and developmental disabilities ages 6-13. We serve students from school districts in the Denver Metro and Front Range. We are looking for a part-time (5-10 hours monthly) Mental Health Specialist. The Mental Health Specialist must be licensed with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) in School Psychology or as a Social Worker. What you will be doing:

• Provide direct and indirect mental health services for students
• Provide consultation to teachers and other related services providers
• Support students with personal and psychological issues that may impact academic performance, behavior, and socialization
• Assess students to identify the areas in which they might need assistance to be able to function effectively in a school environment
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and administration to provide full view of issues facing an individual student, group, or entire school
• Maintain case files and report/track student problems and progress to recognize patterns in behavior

Who are we looking for:

• Those who have a passion for helping children with disabilities
• Those who are reliable, creative, and compassionate
• Required: 1 year working in a public school or facility school setting
• Preferred: 3-5 years’ experience working with children ages 0-21
• The Mental Health Specialist shall have a Master’s degree in Social Work or School Psychology
• Hold CDE licensure in Social Work or School Psychology
