Quality Inspector - Direct Hire

KPG Has partnerred with a thirving manufacturing company in Huntington Beach, CA. Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Inspection Technician for a Direct Hire Opportunity. While primarily focused on inspection duties, this role also involves model assembly and requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes.

Shift: 1st

Pay: $34- $37 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct precision mechanical inspections on complex contours and model assemblies.
• Interpret mechanical designs and customer requirements to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate proactively with various departments to enhance product quality and optimize costs.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in precision mechanical inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in mathematics and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with mechanical inspection tools and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications using ASME Y 14.5.
• Proficiency with Verisurf 2020 or newer software.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in aerospace quality inspection and AS9100 standards.
• Familiarity with PC-DMIS software and CMM programming.
• Background in toolmaking, jig/fixture building, and welding inspection.
• In-depth knowledge of coordinate systems.
