Responsibilities

  • Performs inspections of on-demand repairs, scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, projects, and other fire system-related tasks.
  • Assists in the development of preventive maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure reliable response of systems.
  • Develop broadcast messages for scheduled system testing and bell ringing.
  • Maintains knowledge of current fire protection codes and technologies through research and training.
  • Collaborates with engineers and design professionals to create complete design packages and ensure proper coordination with structural fire resistance, fire-rated construction, and means of egress.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience inspecting and testing fire alarm systems and water-based systems
  • At a minimum, must be certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)Fire Alarm Systems Level 2 or equivalent for fire alarm systems and special hazard systems
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
