Job Description

The High-Power Electromagnetics Division (HPEM) team is at the forefront of radiated and conducted energy delivery systems from prime power to applications. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to grow, lead, and learn with talented engineers, physicists, and technicians on long-term programs and new programs supporting the DoD, DoE, and their contractors. The HPEM Division is looking for an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Electrical Engineer to join our Colorado Springs team to design, build, and test unique prototype devices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 0-5 years of experience
  • Hands-on test and debugging experience with knowledge of standard test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, logic analyzer, signal generator)
  • Proficient laboratory skills (e.g. soldering, troubleshooting)
  • Proficient writing skills as the job will require developing documentation
  • Self-motivation and the willingness to develop new skills
  • The capability to work and think independently
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to brief customers or participate in development testing
  • Light physical effort, involving standing, sitting and use of hands while performing duties, carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Working environment is indoor, moderately quiet, reasonably clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated, moderate physical hazards may exist
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Analog circuit design and development (up to 1GHz bandwidth and beyond)
  • Digital circuit design and development
  • SPICE, Matlab, C/++/#, and/or LabView software tools

Salary Range: $60,000 - $100,000 DOE
