JOB FAMILY SUMMARY:

The Sr Director of Corporate Information Technology (CIT) will report to the SVP of Production Technology and be responsible for overseeing two large and essential areas of technology:  Business Systems (SaaS partners) and classic office IT functions. This role will establish and maintain information systems in areas such as internal systems design and development, systems planning, programming, information technology operations, telecommunications, and/or systems support. Act as liaison between and other departments and recommend new information systems technology within the organization. Ensure systems capacity meets organizational needs. Work to establish overall strategy and vision for technology resources.

Mindbody’s CIT Business Systems (MCBS) cut across multiple different departments and directly enable and support departmental teams, company goals, objectives, customer satisfaction, security, and scalability.  The classic office IT functions include end-user hardware and tools, security, and office technologies (LAN/WAN) in multiple locations.

This strategic leader with provide technology leadership and possess strong technical/business acumen and a global perspective. The successful candidate will be charged with creating a CIT team environment that fosters high performance and operational efficiency with a customer-first attitude.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

·        15+ years’ broad-based, progressive CIT leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of aligning IT with the business, Business Systems management and integrations with premiere SaaS partners, improving the quality of CIT decision-making and creating high business value IT investments.

·        BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred or relevant experience in lieu of degree

·        Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with fellow Executives including CEO and Board of Directors

·        Proven ability to communicate complex technical and systems operational concepts to all levels of a business and IT organization

·        Experience developing and maintaining CIT vision, strategy, and programs to ensure companywide security and compliance

·        Exceptional leadership skills that include communication, listening and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to develop rapport with broad set of senior leaders and staff, with the ability to articulate the IT strategy to a variety of stakeholders.

·        Extensive contract negotiation and change management experience

·        History of partnering with Talent Acquisition to build diverse, world class teams

·        Experience developing and maintaining CIT vision, strategy, and programs to ensure companywide security and compliance

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Establish the vision and mission for Mindbody’s CIT and procurement strategy; develop and manage a clear multi-year roadmap to deliver on this vision and execute needed strategy and tactics in collaboration with executive leadership and key stakeholders.

·        Engage in strategic planning to further and enhance use of technology, integrated business systems and seeking next level technology for innovation that can support the company as it grows, ensuring the organization can function effectively in a rapidly changing environment.

·        Partner with stakeholders to assess the current and future needs of the entire organization, define and deliver business objectives through strategic planning, operations planning and disciplined execution.

·        Ensure the company’s existing CIT roadmap appropriately aligns goals and priorities across the organization and creates a highly integrated environment leveraging cloud and SaaS based solutions, to enable growth and overall productivity.

·        Provide strong leadership to global CIT organization through coaching, mentoring, and developing team to deliver quality of service and associated business outcomes.  Cultivate a workplace culture that emphasizes business alignment, accountability for outcomes, collaboration and continuous improvement. 

·        Develop a strong and lasting partnership across the entire organization with key business leaders, executive stakeholders ensuring consistent, open and clear communication with related changes and regular status updates.

·        Oversee and manage budget for capital and operating expense.

·        Ensure plans for new systems are executed such that the system is delivered in timely manner and meets all requirements as agreed with business leaders.

·        Collaborate and negotiate with external partners to support system operations/development/integration, ensuring reliability, competence, flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

·        Lead CIT’s part in any mergers and acquisitions including ensuring successful integration of business systems and team member tools.

·        Evaluate compliance with the organizations security policies and procedures among employees, contractors and third parties.

·        Responsible for leading procurement strategy and processes including selection, negotiating pricing and contract management. Partnering with Legal team as needed.

·        Ensure procurement team collaborates with business stakeholders to proactively define business requirements, understand cost drivers and develop strategies to optimize spend and run point on enterprise RFPs.

·        Achieve and maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal and operational rules and procedures.

·        Identify and deploy innovative solutions for a dispersed workforce that supports collaboration and effectiveness.

·        All other duties as assigned

 

·        Ability to travel to domestic US and international sites as needed. Approximately 10% of time.

 

SCOPE OF SUPERVISION/AUTHORITY:

People Manager: Duties are performed under limited supervision. Decision making authority is broad within the scope of assignments. This position requires self-direction and continuous evaluation of priorities to ensure completion by deadlines. All decisions and consulting will reflect adherence with internal policies and state and federal law. This position plays a key role in recruiting, supervising, evaluating, mentoring and if necessary, dismissing team members. Although this role can operate successfully with little direct supervision, all operational changes particularly those relating to job function changes, raises, service level goals, and anything budget related must be agreed upon by the department Executive.
