Our client, a front-runner in creating energy-efficient HVAC solutions, is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team near New Haven, CT. This in-office position is an excellent opportunity for those beginning their Mechanical Engineering career. You will be responsible for creating mechanical design layouts for heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems, with hands-on training provided to ensure your success. Ideal candidates will have some knowledge of HVAC design, load calculations, and AutoCAD proficiency. Jr. Mechanical Engineer – (HVAC Commercial System Design; $48-$58/hr) Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings for fabrication of hydronic piping systems
• Conduct site surveys
• Size and layout all HVAC piping, valves, and specialties etc.
• Perform load calculations
• Evaluate contract documents
• Review project specifications for projects
• Partner with estimator on system layouts
• Collaborate with project managers to evaluate system design and installation
• Redesign system when necessary

Jr. Mechanical Engineer – (HVAC Commercial System Design; $48-$58/hr) Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years of HVAC/mechanical design experience required
• AutoCAD experience required
• Ability to work onsite required
