WELLNESS CLERK 3

Regular Part Time -$18.50 - 21.50/HR

Shifts: Complete Open Availability -Weekends Required

Position Overview: As a Wellness Department Clerk, you will serve in a customer service and stocking position to support the overall goals of the Wellness Department.

Essential Functions:

• Build, merchandise and maintain displays
• Assist in achieving required sales margin, expense, and labor targets
• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform tasks to maintain the daily operations of the department
• Assist Wellness Manager with inventory control and overall profitability of the department
• All other duties assigned by Supervisors

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong product knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and body care
• Knowledge of current trends in natural and conventional supplements and body care
• Passion for whole body health and wellness
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Basic computer skills to research product information
• Demonstrated merchandising skills
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and vendors when required
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
• Follow and enforce all applicable State of California Health and Safety Codes
• Conversational English skills required when working with customers.
• Bilingual proficiency preferred.

Physical requirements- While performing the duty of this job, the employee will be expected to:

• Regularly walk, stand, reach, squat, push and pull.
• Tolerate repetitive reaching, handling, grasping, pushing, pulling gripping and manipulation of hands and fingers in order to lift, retrieve and stock product
• Frequently talk or hear and reach with both hands and arms above and below the shoulder
• Occasionally climb, kneel, lift and carry up to 50 pounds of items and regularly up to 10 pounds
• Bend and twist at waist and neck
• Use their fingers to operate a keyboard and mouse to use the department computer
• Work around heavy equipment such as but not limited to: forklift, baler and pallet jack
