Job Description—Reprographics Department
**Title:** Digital Document Technician - Small Format Specialist
**Department:** AEC & Small Format

Full Time Position

Pay Range Offered: $22 -$26/hour. Based on experience.

**Summary:**
The Digital Document Technician is responsible for preparing print-ready files from digital sources
and generating job tickets for digital bond printing. This role requires meticulous maintenance and
accuracy of electronic archives, preflighting all electronic job tickets to ensure quality before
printing. The technician will produce small format documents, including specifications, binders,
and books from both electronic and hard copy originals. Additionally, the technician will operate HP
and Ricoh copiers and various bindery equipment. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and MS Word is
essential for compiling and printing electronic files efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Process and quality check jobs within specified customer due times.
- Handle orders via PDF, Pressaro, email, and walk-ins.
- Preflight jobs to ensure they are error-free and ready for printing.
- Coordinate with customers, management, floor supervisors, and dispatch to schedule due times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any problems or errors in the printing process.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for job acceptance, completion, and billing.
- Maintain compliance with the Pressaro system, inputting relevant job information and tracking
production cycles.
- Assist customers by answering questions related to their work in the plotting department.
- Process and follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the plotting department and order necessary
supplies as required.
- Perform effectively under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Adhere to scheduled rest and lunch periods to maximize productivity and maintain department
coverage.

**Qualifications:**
- Attitude is key.
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and MS Word.
- Experience operating Ricoh and HP copiers and bindery equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and pressure.
