VCA Bay Area Animal Hospital in Oakland, CA is looking for a Lead Client Service Representative to join our leadership team! VCA Bay Area Animal Hospital is a nine-doctor practice, with a support staff of 45 and a high potential for growth. Located in Oakland, California, we are less than 30 minutes away from San Francisco and just 3 hours from Tahoe. Job Summary:
- Coordinate and oversee activities of the front office and front office team members to ensure compassionate and professional care to patients and clients while ensuring an effective and efficient front office workflow.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Must have experience working with the public
- 2-3 years experience in a veterinary hospital or other doctor’s office
Physical Requirements:
- Dependable attendance is required
- Any allergies to animals must be controllable through medication
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Must be willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions
- This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour shift
- Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognizes people and understand written direction
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person, and over the telephone
- Fine motor skills adequate for utilizing office equipment such as computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, etc.
Duties:

Job functions and job responsibility include:
- Client Service
- Answer Telephones and make appointments
- Maintain charts and computer records
- Pharmacy and retail sales
- Maintenance and housekeeping
- Financial responsibilities
Lead Duties:
- Oversee front office team of 7-10 associates. Handle all scheduling needs of the CSR team
- Evaluate performance of CSR team members and conduct verbal and written performance evaluations
- Give direction and create goals
- Assist with interviews. Conduct orientation and training of front office policies and procedures
- Maintain adequate front office supplies. Ensure supply purchases are cost efficient and within the budget.
- Attend Leadership Meetings with hospital Leadership Team. Assist with staff meetings as needed

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $22-$32 per hour.
