Position Overview:

JMA Resources is seeking a skilled and experienced SAP BOBJ (Business Objects) Report Developer to join our team. The SAP BOBJ Report Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards using the SAP Business Objects suite of tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business intelligence concepts, proficiency in SAP BOBJ tools, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users, analysts, and stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements.
  • Design, develop, and deploy reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc queries using SAP BOBJ tools.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop data models, universes, and data connections to support reporting needs.
  • Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing best practices and standards in report development.
  • Customize and enhance existing reports and dashboards to meet evolving business needs and requirements.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing of reports to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users for report-related issues and inquiries.
  • Document report specifications, design, and development processes for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Stay updated on the latest SAP BOBJ features, enhancements, and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Clearance Level:

  • Current DOD Secret Clearance is required.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must demonstrate:
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex.
    • Ability to devise creative business.
    • Ability to convey a strong presence and professional.
    • Ability to deal confidently with complex business problems.
    • Ability to analyze source data for potential data quality issues and recommend a proper course of action.
    • SAO BOBJ administration subject matter expertise including upgrades and migrations.
    • Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL queries, and data warehousing concepts.
    • Proficiency in SAP BOBJ tools.
  • Must have experience working with the following:
    • Complex data warehouse projects.
    • Business Dimensional Lifecycle/Kimball Method.
    • SAP Business Objects technologies, such as:
      • Xcelsius
      • Integrator
      • Explorer
      • WebI


Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as an SAP BOBJ Reports Developer, including:
    • 4+ years working with complex data warehouse projects.
    • At least 5 years of consulting experience with business analysis and software product implementation.
    • At least 3 years of experience developing with the BO Business Intelligence tools within the last 5 years.


Education Level:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Required Certifications:

  • Current CompTIA Security+


Location & Commitments:

  • Part-time remote position.
  • Will require travel to various client sites when needed for client support.
  • Hours are based on the client, usually Monday-Friday between 8-5 p.m. EST.
