Job Description:


Our client is seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to join their team! This role plays a pivotal part in upholding the commitment to their customers, ensuring the precision and reliability of testing procedures while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.


Responsibilities:

    • Perform regular calibrations of laboratory equipment in accordance with NIST and ISO 17025: 2017 standards.
    • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure the accuracy and precision of instruments.
    • Troubleshoot and address equipment malfunctions promptly.
    • Execute standardized testing procedures, following established protocols and methodologies.
    • Record, analyze, and interpret test results with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Collaborate with other team members to validate and verify analytical methods.
    • Implement and adhere to quality control measures outlined in ISO 17025: 2017.
    • Monitor and document quality assurance activities to ensure compliance.
    • Participate in proficiency testing and inter-laboratory comparisons.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all laboratory activities.
    • Prepare detailed reports summarizing test results, methodologies, and any deviations from standard procedures.
    • Ensure that documentation meets ISO 17025: 2017 documentation requirements.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
    • Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
    • Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
    • Participate in the development and improvement of laboratory procedures.
    • Recommend and implement enhancements to workflow efficiency.
    • Engage in ongoing training to stay current with advancements in laboratory techniques and technologies.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
    • Collaborate with colleagues on complex projects and share knowledge to foster a collaborative work environment.
    • Interact with clients as needed, addressing inquiries and providing relevant information.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering accurate and timely results.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum - High School Diploma
  • Preferred –Associates degree in related field
  • Motivated individual with the ability and drive to continually improve their knowledge base
  • Characterized by a strong commitment to integrity
  • Proactive candidate able to anticipate changes and take proactive steps to prepare for them
  • Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Necessary qualifications include the ability to demonstrate specific visual capabilities, including close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Overnight stays required for ~10% of the time in this role

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience within the calibration field
  • Experience with hand gauge, electronic and process test equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient with MS office 365
  • Experience with Indysoft
  • Maintain and expand knowledge base of ISO 17025: 2017 and NIST standards
  • Strong problem solving/critical thinking
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail
