POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direction of an executive director or program management the Project Manager will work directly with the Pediatrics Program and Critical Path for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency and interface with data contributors, partners, and subcontractors to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget. They will coordinate with other departments to ensure all projects are managed efficiently and coordinate resource needs to meet project deliverables.

CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manages a portfolio of small level complex projects ensuring proper execution.

· Develop and track project plans, timelines and milestones, and report or take corrective action when needed.

· Prepare, facilitate, and provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders.

· Coordinate meetings, define and track action items, and prepare and disseminate meeting minutes.

· Develop and foster good working relationships among partners, funders, federal liaisons, subcontractors, and C-Path team members.

· Write concise and accurate reports, proposals, and other supporting materials.

· Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

· Maintain specific project management software and suggest areas for expansion.

· Coordinate with sub-awardee and track deliverable progress.

· Coordinate, plan, and produce external communication, e.g., quarterly newsletter, yearly workshop, and monthly webinar series.

· Aids and supports recommendations for improvements related to project management processes.

· Collaborate across departments to complete project reporting, as needed.

· Occasional travel (max 5-10%)


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Ability to manage all phases of the project life cycle from initiation to closing.

· Working knowledge of budgeting concepts, terminology, and forecasting.

· Demonstrated oral, written, and virtual communication skills, including fluency in health-related scientific language.

· Proactive time management and problem-solving skills.

· Works effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

· Demonstrated ability to consistently meet challenging deadlines.

· Successfully anticipates issues or challenges and proactively addresses them without being specifically directed.

· Effectively communicates with internal staff and external stakeholders and modifies actions based on recommendations and feedback.

· Expert use of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

· Experience with project management and file management platforms or software like Monday.com, Airtable, and SharePoint.

· Proficient use of standard office meeting/communication software including Zoom, Slack, or Teams.

· Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

· Use sound judgment when working with critical or confidential information.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A bachelor's degree in public health, business, or scientific fields (biochemistry, immunology, chemistry, pharmacology).
  • CAPM or higher certification preferred, or 1-3 years of formal project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with compliance-related activities is beneficial.
