American Turn-Key Fabricators is a leading engineering shop specializing in sanitary design for the food industry. Our team is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor ready to grow with our team.  

Job Description

The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for organizing and overseeing the successful execution of the following departments: waterjet, polishing, fabrication, assembly, and outside services. Supervisor will also oversee shop projects, installations, and repairs throughout the plant.

We need an individual who is experienced and innovative to:

• Direct a team of supervisors and leads in daily activities of production to ensure that volume, scheduled deliveries, and quality standards are achieved.
• Coordinate with the planning managers to schedule, track and complete work orders and meet production goals.
• Coordinate with materials manager and purchasing teams to make sure materials arrive at work cells in a timely manner.
• Work with the QC department to ensure production meets engineering design specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with HR in educating staff and enforcing safety rules and procedures on the shop floor. Investigate and document all near misses, unsafe acts and conditions, and accidents.

·         By visual and hands on experience will fit and fabricate metal parts according to print.

• Will work with various types of materials, aluminum, steel, plastics and adhesives etc.
• Must be familiar with shop equipment and the proper safe usage of band saws, drill press, conventional lathes, and mills, shears etc.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Implement and sustain organization and 5S structures.
• Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
• The candidate should have knowledge of sheet metal cutting and forming equipment, must be mechanically inclined, act decisively and have above average communication skills.
• Sustains cleanliness of given departments.

Work Experience

• Required:
  • 5 - 8 years – Experience in related field
