Job Description

This position is located in Muskego, Wisconsin.

Northern Gear & Machining is seeking a CNC Lathe Set-up Machinist to collaborate with a team dedicated to the success of our customers. This position will be responsible for efficient and timely set-ups.

The ideal candidate would have but is not limited to experience with the following:

Perform all operations to set up equipment, fixtures, and CNC Lathe Machines.
Ability to do multiple set-ups in a shift.
Responsible for the selection for tooling.
Instruct operators on procedures and methods.
Diagnose troubles and make adjustments.
Work from drawings, specifications.
Use a variety of precision measuring devices.
Inspections of machined products including documentation of results.
Complete all required job performance sheets.
Complete all 1st piece inspection requirements. Adhere to all Quality requirements.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
Follows all safety procedures and policies.
Able to assist other operators.
Willing to run machines when set-ups are complete.
Have their own tools.
