Job Description: Solventless Extraction Technician

Job Purpose: The Solventless Extraction Technician is an established position within a high volume regulated Medical and Adult-use licensed Manufacturer of Infused Products. The Solventless Extraction Tech is responsible performing extractions as well as other miscellaneous duties whilst working compliantly within state and federal regulatory frameworks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use Osprey to Perform Solventless Extractions on various types of cannabis Biomass.
• Maintain and clean Extraction Equipment, freeze dryers, vessels, wash bags.
• Prep materials for head extractor (Prepare/bag water hash for pressing
• Keep Extraction Room clean (ie. walls, surfaces, floors, etc.)
• Help head Extractor maintain necessary supplies for the extraction process.
• Create water hash batches in METRC

Working Conditions:

Production floor environment Must wear required PPE, including mask, hairnet and lab coat when on production floor. Requires lifting of 50+ lb

Supervision Received:

Lead extractor

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• Experience with using hand tools such as wrenches
• 1 year Industry Experience
• 1 year Solventless processing and post-processing
• Experience with Low Temp Industries Osprey preferred
• METRC package creation competency

Minimum Education Requirements:

HS Diploma or equivalent

Required skills:

• Must be 21+
• Must have reliable transportation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Capabilities with computer systems, software and hardware common to manufacturing facilities
• Possess a valid and current MED Badge
• Excellent attention to detail
• Sound organizational proficiencies
• Ability to conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner
• Critical time management
• Ability to identify and effectively prioritize actions and requirements.
• Knowledge of extraction and refinement processes
• METRC package creation competency

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time as required
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers, type.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in cold temperatures at times when dealing with Fresh Frozen biomass
