POSITION SUMMARY
The NextGen Summer internship focuses on providing people interested in full time ministry with an opportunity to learn about ministry while building teams, planning events, and creating space for kids, students, and families to connect with one another and grow during the summer. Interns will play a key role in helping students connect and serve on Sunday mornings in Menlo Kids and the larger church as well as work with the Student and Kid director to plan and lead any “family connect” events over the summer. The intern will help volunteer teams prepare for weekly summer programming. As a part of their time, interns will be coached and supported by the Kids and Student directors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Build up and support students, especially incoming 6th graders, who are serving with Menlo Kids and the larger church through team bonding, training, and prayer.
- Work with the NextGen team to plan and lead family connect events.
- Meet weekly with campus NextGen staff to learn about ministry and discipleship.
- Support volunteer teams in prepare supplies for weekly Menlo Kids programming.
- Partner with the student pastor to lead lunch discussion groups on Sunday mornings to help build the student community at All-Church worship.
- Additional duties and special projects as assigned by Kids and Student Director

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- High School student or above
- Interest in vocational ministry
Knowledge and Skills
- Positive attitude and a desire to learn
- Team player and team builder
Menlo Church Spiritual Requirements
- Must have an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must be a committed disciple of Christ and committed to serving God and the body of Christ
- Must have compatible theology in alignment with ECO essential tenets
- Must be pursuing or active in a community of believers who can speak truth into your life
