MAJOR FUNCTION:
Assist the assigned supervisor by coordinating quality and equipment related problems on the production line in Casting and Whiteware to reduce defects
and downtime.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ensures that semi-finished product being produced conforms to TOTO specifications.
- Visually inspects products for cosmetic defects related to equipment malfunctions or workmanship and make modifications and/or corrections as needed
in accordance to specifications. - Based on observations and repetitive problems, recommends improvements related to work procedures, equipment, quality, working conditions, etc.
- Assist Coordinator and Sr. Coordinator on major repairs or new installation required.
- Assists in the preparation of quality process documentation, policies, standards, programs, plans, procedures and practices.
- Checks products during demold to ensure quality and mold / equipment failures.
- Quality checks by visual inspection of products for cosmetic defects related to equipment malfunctions or workmanship.
- Maintain dryer setters and demold setters on the processing line.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist supervisor as needed.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

DIMENSIONS:
Responsible for assisting in yield, quality and process improvements in assigned area.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:
Daily contact with assigned supervisor, adjoining supervisors, departmental manager and production personnel.
SPECIFICATIONS:
At least two (2) years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must have
excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate ability to use hand and power tools commonly used by maintenance technician.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment consists of an indoor/outdoor facility with limited heat in winter, not air conditioned in summer in the manufacturing work area.
Summer heat is moderate. Minor exposure to odors from lubricants/preservatives as well as fumes from gas operated sit-down forklift trucks. Moderate
noise levels are present. Job requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) that may include, but not limited to; protective gloves, ear plugs,
safety glasses, protective sleeves, and safety shoes. Minimal possibility of accidents of a minor nature requiring first aid.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position is not a supervisory position.
