Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary
In this role, the senior financial analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting the financial performance of several business units within Cornerstone Energy Park. The analyst will also be responsible for budget compliance, forecasting and variance commentary on a regular and ongoing basis. Working closely with operations managers, commercial leaders, and other stakeholder to develop the short-medium term outlook and articulate the company’s financial health using various tools and data sources. In addition, work with various functional groups on process improvements, continuous improvement, and data accuracy improvements.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintain the financial model of each business unit
- Partner with business leaders to help them make more informed decisions through financial analysis of historic and predictive results.
- Provided leadership, stewardship, and ownership for all financial activities within the facilities through thorough analysis and understanding of data inputs, outputs, and sources
- Data mining and source control over key data inputs
- Work collaboratively with plant personnel and leadership team from all functional groups to promote best practices and continuous improvement within the organization
- Month, Quarter, and Year end accounting close, audit, forecasting, and budgeting
Required Skills/Experience
- Excellent analytical skills with a desire to get into the details and curiosity to understand how and why decisions and spending occurred from an objective point of view.
- Demonstrated proficiency and acumen in information technology with high proficiency in enterprise resource planning systems and business intelligence applications
- Strong proficiency in the MS suite of applications required, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- At least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing-based companies with experience principally in operational finance (cost accounting, analysis, supplier contract analysis, maintenance spending management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.)
- Background in Chemical or Oil and Gas industries or other industries with a high degree of maintenance programs
- Bachelor’s degree
- Advanced degree in business preferred
Other Considerations
- Expect to travel to the energy park building relationships with Key stake holders and support members outside of the finance group
